Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress and a singer who soared to notoriety in the late 1990s after she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. In the 1990s, when Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral gained international recognition, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. The dress immediately garnered media attention. Her relationship with Estee Lauder has been the major highlight of her career. It offered Hurley her very first modelling job at the age of 29 and has used her as a model for its products especially perfumes such as Sensuous Intuition as well as Pleasures from 1995. Her most well-known film role was when she played Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley has been modeling and designing the brand's beachwear collection. Perry's attempts at mainstream stardom were fruitless with two different record labels signing her but then removing her prior to they released any songs. Capitol Records released Perry's Ur So Gay EP in 2007 which garnered some interest due to its fun and frivolous title track. I kissed a Girl was a more aggressive ode to sexism, accompanied by electronic-pop with a sharp edge. It was an unpopular song in that critics had a problem with it for promoting relationships with a partner as well as others who claimed it portrayed a racy scene appealing to male fantasies about female sexuality. I Kissed a Girl became a worldwide number-one hit because of its mix of sexual enticement and a refined song melody. It was also instrumental in driving sales for her album from 2008, the album One of the Boys. Hot N Cold, Perry's bouncy and sharply-tongued album with its second hit single also proved popular. The album Perry created herself sold more than 3 million copies.
